Thomas Olive was one of
the original proprietors of the present day Burlington
City. Mr. Olive first built a log house on his parcel
and later, in about 1691, he built a brick home on the
foundation of that building which is now the law offices
of Hulse & Germano at 406 High Street. Over the
years, the building has been rebuilt and renovated countless
times being used as a stately home by colonial dame
Carrie Wreight, the Alcazar hotel and restaurant from
the 1600s to the early 1900's, then a rooming house
and bar through the 1960's and in1985, the building
was completely renovated for the offices of Hulse &
Germano.
Hulse & Germano is honored and proud
to occupy this building which has contributed and been
witness to the historic events in the region for such
a long period of time.
